We can arrange a special permit for you to drive your car to the customs loading area yourself and park it inside the container. You are also welcome to be present while your vehicle is chocked and lashed inside the container.

Necessary documents and procedures

• Deregistration of the vehicle at the competent tax office (after keeping a copy of the vehicle registration document).

• Your tax identification number (ΑΦΜ).

• Electronic authorisation for our customs broker.

• A photocopy of the vehicle registration document.

• Confirmation of deregistration from the competent tax office.

• An import permit from the destination country (where one is required).

• The vehicle owner’s passport for the destination country.

• A residence permit, where the owner does not hold citizenship.

Necessary documents and procedures in the destination country

• You must have confirmed that this particular vehicle model is accepted in the destination country.

• You must have obtained the necessary import permit from the authorities of the destination country.

• Our local partner and their customs broker must have every document required by law available to them before they can give us loading approval.

• The fuel tank must be almost empty (the reserve warning light should be on).

• Our partner at customs will disconnect the vehicle’s battery.

• For Australia, for example, you can visit the government website www.australia.gov.au for official information in full detail, and to issue the necessary documents and permits online.
